(from my journal, 10/1/15) This post is actually a continuation of the preceding post here. In that post, hubby and I were discussing that true Christian faith should have both love (being forgiving) and truth (hates sin & follows God's laws), and these constitute the narrow path that Jesus required the saved to walk on. I then realized that if this is case, the only people who are truly saved at any given time are the CHILDREN or those who are child-like. Why? Because kids:
- have love, grace and mercy -- no matter how much scolding you give a child today, the next day (or even just after the scolding), the child will love you as if nothing happened. You will still be the best-ever person in his / her life! (Compare that to the adult's attitude after a scolding.) Aren't kids awesome and miraculous beings?! :)
- follow God's laws -- they honor their parents, they don't lie / murder / covet, etc.
Assuredly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it. (Mark 10:15)
Thank you so much Lord for giving this insight to me and Labsie. We shall strive to be child-like everyday. And we promise to nurture our daughters and keep them child-like until they grow up. So help us Lord. Amen.
